Sefa Karaca

Sefa Karaca is a finance executive and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in financial management, independent auditing, corporate reporting, and strategic CFO advisory. Throughout his career, he has positioned finance within companies not merely as a function for reporting past results, but as a strategic system that supports management's future decisions.

Starting his professional career in independent auditing at Deloitte, Karaca built a strong audit foundation by taking part in the examination of financial statements, business processes, and internal control structures of companies operating in various sectors. Subsequently, he worked in the fields of financial control and management reporting at Siemens Healthineers Turkey, gaining in-depth experience in budget, actual result analysis, cost control, and senior management reporting processes.

Continuing his career at EY Turkey, Karaca took part in financial reporting, initial public offering (IPO) preparations, company valuation studies, investment processes, financial due diligence, and CFO advisory projects. With the experience he gained in significant IPO and financial transformation projects such as Enerjisa and Aydem, he has directly contributed to companies establishing a sustainable and transparent financial structure in line with investor expectations.

During his time at EY Turkey, where he focused on the needs of technology companies and fast-growing businesses, he undertook the leadership of the Startup and Scale-up CFO Advisory practice. In this process, he managed the end-to-end processes of budgeting, cash flow, investor reporting, unit economics, valuation, and investment round preparation for startups.

Aiming to bring his strong corporate and entrepreneurial experience to a broader audience of companies, today he provides fractional CFO and financial management consultancy services to SMEs, family businesses, and enterprises in the institutionalization process, in addition to technology companies, startups, and scale-ups. Karaca also provides active mentorship and executive advisory to entrepreneurs, company owners, and management teams on financial management, investor perspective, growth strategy, and institutionalization.
