Barış Yılmazel is a technology leader with over 27 years of experience in platform-focused technology companies; specialized in technology strategy, scalable system architecture, artificial intelligence-based product development and growing engineering organizations.

Beginning his career at GittiGidiyor, one of Turkey's first major e-commerce platforms, Yılmazel built a strong foundation in the technology world by working on platform architecture, data infrastructures and high-scale systems.

Leading technology during the founding period of Secretcv.com, he returned as CTO in subsequent years to lead the company's technological transformation. During this period, he became patent holder with the QR code-based job application system he developed; supporting his product-focused technology approach with concrete innovations.

In CTO roles he assumed at cryptocurrency, marketplace and rapidly growing platform companies, he managed development of high-scale, secure and flexible systems. At Gobaba, he led establishment of high-volume transaction infrastructures; at Marketyo, he managed technology organization and platform transformation during the Delivery Hero acquisition process.

As Software Development Director at Delivery Hero, he assumed leadership of the field managing third-party integrations for the Pandora Integration Hub platform used in 21 countries; gaining international experience in large-scale integration and platform management.

Most recently as CTO of REM People, he led development of artificial intelligence and image processing-based products, enabled establishment of the company's R&D center and scaled the technology organization.

Today, particularly focusing on technical debt, architectural bottlenecks, organizational scaling and technology strategy problems faced by rapidly growing platform companies, he provides consulting to organizations.
