Dr. Aybil Göker is a PhD anthropologist specializing in anthropology, cultural intelligence, human insight, and brand strategy. For over 15 years, she has been helping brands discover how people make sense of products, messages, technologies, and everyday life. Throughout her career, working at the intersection of culture, human behavior, and business strategy, she has translated deep qualitative understanding into sharper brand positioning, stronger communication, and innovation.
Starting her education at an Italian high school, Göker completed her bachelor's degree in the Sociology department at Boğaziçi University between 1995 and 1998. Subsequently, she received her master's degree in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) between 1999 and 2000. She advanced her academic career with a PhD in Social Anthropology, completed at University College London (UCL) between 2002 and 2007. She speaks English, Italian, and Turkish at a native or bilingual level.
During a period of her career, she taught academically as a University Lecturer at Yeditepe University between September 2007 and September 2014. In June 2012, she led cultural intelligence and insight studies in Florida and Istanbul, directing the execution of ethnographic research across more than 25 countries.
By combining anthropology, ethnographic depth, and strategic thinking, she uncovers the cultural meanings and everyday realities that shape behavior. Her work encompasses comprehensive fieldwork, in-depth qualitative research, digital ethnography, and AI-supported qualitative exploration that adds speed and value without flattening human complexity. By focusing especially on areas where culture is shifting, categories are under pressure, and conventional research is no longer sufficient, she positions deeply understanding people as the most powerful form of intelligence a brand can possess and a strategic advantage in the age of AI.
